Hi all
I'm new to the forum and in the process of considering buying another LC.
can someone advise me of the numbers for MK 2 LCs?
1. should the engine number and the build number always match?
2. what form should the engine numbers take (the stamped number not the cast number)?
3. one car ahs a body number of BA91 and then what appears to be a zero followed by a C, there appears to be no "build year" associated with zero! am I reading this right?
your assistance will be appreciated

Hi John,
Welcome to the forum,
To be honest your best bet is to seek advice on the history of a car and not just trying to decipher numbers.
Joining the LCR (if you have'nt already) and getting in touch with Rick or Andy.
Cheers

Louis
thanks for the response. At this stage I'm only exploring the possibility of buying the car and was trying to my homework as best I can. I am in the process of becoming a "full" member of LCR and will certainly utilise its services when that happens.
many thanks

Hi, Let me know when your 'in', and I can add members only access etc.
We tend to try and keep discussion of 'numbers' to the members only sections. Mainly because they are just stamps in the metal at the end of day, so they often need other things looking into as well.
Cheers
